The Full Review
Cornwall's has been serving Kenmore Square since 1973, and the Beale family has been running it the whole time. This isn't some chain trying to be a British pub - it's the real deal, complete with dark wood, beer steins, and football (soccer) on the TV.
The fish & chips are the signature dish and they're legit - crispy batter, flaky fish, proper chips. The shepherd's pie and bangers & mash are solid comfort food for cold Boston nights.
The beer selection is excellent - lots of craft options and British imports. This is where you go when you want to feel like an adult instead of slamming PBRs at a house party.
WORD OF WARNING: This place gets PACKED on Red Sox game days. Fenway is right there, and every fan spills into Cornwall's. Make a reservation or avoid game days entirely.
This is THE place to take parents when they visit. Respectable, classic, and they'll appreciate the history. Plus you can actually have a conversation - unlike some of the louder bars in the area.
