Eastern Standard is the restaurant you save for special occasions. This Kenmore institution closed during COVID but came back in October 2023, and it's as good as ever - maybe even better.
This is a proper restaurant - beautiful design, attentive service, a cocktail program that takes itself seriously. The American brasserie menu is executed well, with standouts like the roasted chicken and steak frites.
The cocktails deserve special mention. The bartenders here are the real deal, led by beverage director Jackson Cannon. Ask for something tailored to your taste and they'll deliver something special.
